Nephrology is a field that deals with the kidneys and its functioning and if there is any problem on kidney functioning then a nephrologist treats the patient. If a child has kidney or urinary tract disease, bladder problems, kidney stones, or high blood pressure, then these fall under the department of Pediatric Nephrology. Pediatric nephrologists treat children from infancy through late adolescence.
